Solidarity is a big word
How can (Belgian) cultural workers and institutions show solidarity in the face of the ongoing genocide in Palestine, human oppression, exploitation and the rise of fascism in various parts of the world? What role and responsibility do we take on (here and/or there)? For whom? What do we expect? What are the barriers and limitations, and how can they be reduced? Solidarity takes many forms, but one thing is clear: solidarity must be rooted in concrete collective practices rather than merely symbolic expressions.
