My Body as a Commodity is een broeierige muzikale trip die de grenzen van fictie aftast. Onder high energy live percussie onderzoekt theatermaker Anne-Laure Vandeputte in welke narratieven onze lichamen - al dan niet bewust - worden ingeschreven.
Ze ontmoet een regisseur die het over sterke vrouwen wil hebben.
Ze ontmoet een man die zich afvraagt of hij in de show voorkomt.
Ze ontmoet een sekswerker in Berlijn en bombardeert haar tot haar own personal jesus.
Samen met muzikant Andrew van Ostade brengt Vandeputte een monologue-on-beats die het narratief over lichamelijk trauma bevraagt en uitdaagt.
